About
This dynamic image is at once disorienting and mesmerizing, as White skillfully enacts a harsh cropping technique. The scale of the photograph is at first confusing – the rock appears to perhaps be a large landform, but it slowly becomes apparent that small trickling waves are actually indicative of a much smaller scale. White also demonstrates his preference for high contrast images, with the white froth of the wave floating starkly on the dark grains of sand.
