About
In this artwork, Kandinsky explores the different forms that basic components of art can form, namely lines and circles. Similar to many of his paintings, he uses basic units of art and connects them, forming planes and extensions of form and color to make complex shapes. The bold black lines show the distinct forms and shapes that he makes, and he uses to highlight different aspects of the shapes to show the concentration of tension and density in certain spaces in contrast to more separated spaces in the artwork.
