About
This painting was recreated after a series of engravings by Jean-Francois Millet (1814-1875), while at the psychiatric clinic at Saint-Remy, he used these engravings to practice figure painting. This painting shows a figure tugging wheat from a pile in an awkward position. The colors contrast as the man wears a bright blue outfit standing against golden wheat.
