About
The artist painted this painting at the asylum of Saint-Paul-de-Mausole in Saint-Remy from the view of his barred window. During the springtime, he seemed most inspired by the flowers and blossoms. This Lilac bush is delicately painted with plenty of highlights and shadows in the leaves then pops of color come from the tiny lilac blooms.
