About
Van Gogh painted this landscape from the view of his room at the mental hospital Saint-Paul-de-Mausole at Saint-Remy. He painted the view several times to capture the changing seasons and weather. Here the ominous swirling clouds darken the landscape while in the foreground, the field is blowing around in several directions.
