Lahey’s watercolor carefully blends the dark copper of the bridge with the light blues and whites of the reflective water. Lahey’s inspiration for the painting was attributed to the building of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, as well as the construction of the Grey Street Bridge and Brisbane City Hall.
