About
In this painting, Kandinsky displays the change in his abstract style to reflect the utopian artistic experiments of the Russian avant-garde style. This artwork in particular emphasized geometric forms as the experimented between overlapping planes, intersecting lines, and delineated shapes. The interaction between the geometric forms resembled a contrast between dynamic and aggressive forms with calm and quiet spaces, which furthered his investigation into the relationship between colors, forms, and their psychological and spiritual effect.
