About
Capricious Forms features a collection of organic forms set on top of geometric forms and beige background. This painting is characteristic of Kandinsky’s later artworks which introduce organic forms into his otherwise rigid geometric abstract paintings and included a lighter color palette. The intricate details in the organic forms resemble biomorphic images showing his newfound interest in experimenting with organic forms. In addition, his expertise in layering abstract forms creates a sense of spatial depth and adds a three-dimensional aspect to his artwork.
