About
Sonia Delaunay primarily employs cooler colors in this color stencil. She paints wave-like shapes that run diagonal to one another. The waves vary in thickness and length. Near the bottom-right corner of the painting is a blue circle that breaks the continuity of two red waves. It is the only shape that differs. This work of art is representative of Delaunay's work with Simultanism, as the feeling that each color and shape provides is dependent on the adjacent color and shape.
