About
In this color stencil, Sonia Delaunay experiments with circular shapes to create movement. She uses whole circles and half-circles throughout the painting. The shapes are either intertwined together or adjacent to one another, demonstrating her and Robert Delaunay’s theories regarding Simultanism. Sonia Delaunay employs warm colors and neutral tones throughout the work of art, establishing a bright atmosphere that further enhances the movement of the circles.
