About
This lively cropped streetscape, San Francisco, was captured during White’s time teaching in the newly created photography department of the California School of Fine Arts (CSFA). While this time at CSFA was fruitful for White pedagogically, it was also a time of great personal production. This image in particular is part of a series entitled City Surf, which captured candid looks at San Francisco’s vibrant street life, focusing on its people and events, such as parades and fairs.
