About
Mary Cassatt moved from Pennsyvania to Paris to establish her career, a choice that did not sit well with her parents. She became one of the few American painters to exhibit with the French Impressionist artists.
Cassatt’s sister, who posed for this portrait, moved to France to join the artist. Lydia sits on a bench outdoors during autumn wearing a vibrantly patterned coat that is created with Cassat’s highly visible brushstrokes.

Then we add finishing touches like a wall hanging mount, wall friendly bumpers and a protective backing.
Please note that the images of frames displayed here are meant to be representative of those used in our custom-framed products, but may not exactly match the ones in the actual products
