This piece depicts the queen of spades flanked by two court pages. She was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and created by Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh. Originally part of a series of four entitled Four Queens, the series was made for Catherine Cranston's Card Room at her residence Hous'hill in Glasgow.
