About
This painting is often assumed to be from one of Perry's earliest trips to Giverny, a bustling town in the French countryside and home to many artists including Monet. Perry was one of the few American artists allowed in Monet's circle. In this painting, Perry paints a sloping and freshly mowed field with dappled orange light and lavender shadows.
