About

Unlike much of Eckel's other work, this is a drawing done in pastels. It depicts a group of bird: two least bitterns, one purole callumule, and two Louisiana herons, as the title of the piece, says. The birds appear to be in harmony with one another as they walk and hunt for food among the tall grass by the water.
