About
Looking At the Moons Reflection is an old painting by Jessie Willcox Smith, depicting a little girl staring at the full moon and at herself through the reflection in a pond. This illustration follows a common theme in Smith’s artwork of adolescence and the exploration of growing up. The reflection of the moon onto the little girl’s face creates an air of magic that may have otherwise been lost without the presence of the pond.
