About

One of the most vividly textures panels of the series, Lawrence offers a keen use of color, shading and light that creates an intriguing visual effect. The broad, unfinished brush strokes create the appearance of a dry and coarse field, intensified by the bright beams of sun beating down. The differently colored waves of land and the visible light from the sun create a geometric patterning to this panel and suggest a cubist inspiration. The sparse trees to the left of the pieces are also withered, demonstrating the desertion of the South during this time of mass migration.

Custom Framing

We use the highest quality wood in our modern shop to create custom frames, frame your print with precision-cut acid-free matt board, and mount it behind a UV-blocking semi-gloss plexiglass to protect your art from the sun, dust, pollution, heat, and humidity.
