Yoshida took inspiration from 19th-century European watercolorists and added Japanese traditional ink painting themes to depict scenes. This print captures the rapids of a river and the rocky terrain around it. Yoshida uses thin outlines and different shades of blue to capture the water patterns and the rapid movement of the water. He also creates a translucent effect in the water and the rock color and formation are slightly visible under the moving water.
