About
This unique work is made from ceramic embedded in plaster, giving the composition a unique shine and texture. The forms are abstract interpretations of leaves, very reminiscent of plant-forms used throughout Matisse’s later career. The boldness of color and expansive composition give this work a lightness and almost joyful quality.
