About
O’Keeffe stayed in Hawai’i for two months, working on a commission for Hawaiian Pineapple Company (now known as Dole Company). Here, she painted a waterfall in the beautiful Iao Valley on Maui near Wailuku. The valley was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1972.
