About
One of O'Keeffe's most abstract works, this painting depicts a composition of nearly concentric circles and undulating lines bifurcated by series of vertical lines. O'Keeffe used subtle color gradations to give the image a sense of depth and layering. The hard edges of the forms allude to her experience with precisionist-style painting, a technique she employed in many of her pieces.
