About
One in a series of paintings O’Keeffe did to realize “the idea that music could be translated into something for the eye,” this painting is one of her most abstract works. Undulating layers pink and white oblong- like shapes emerge from the left corner of the canvas. Just underneath that central form, a dark blue oblong like shape gives the impression of depth to the piece. Tonal gradations in the white above the central figure mimic drapes of fabric.
