About
The style of the fruit of this oil painting is an example of O’Keeffe’s unique style, a combination between abstraction and precisionism. Five apples, three red, one green, and one golden, sit on what appears to be a silvery tablecloth. Repeating hues of red throughout the apples, slightly miss-shapen bodies, and tonal gradation are distinctive characteristics of O’Keeffe’s work.
