About
Billy Sunday a former Philadelphia left-fielder turned evangelist preacher is captured in his element in this lithograph by George Bellows. Bellows, one of the greatest realist painters in the early twentieth century, encapsulates Sunday’s vivacious and spiritual intense oratory skills in this lithograph by emphasizing his energetic gestures. Lastly, Bellows appropriately adds a celestial glow to the scene.
