About

The original Black Flowers is housed at the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C., where it arrived via anonymous donation in 1974. A fitting home for one of Davis’ early works as the Phillips Collection was one of the main places where Davis taught himself art after he left his career as a sports writer and political correspondent. While Davis’ color field stripe paintings are what most know him for, he was influenced by the works of Swiss painter Paul Klee and Armenian-American painter Arshile Gorky both of whom worked in more abstract styles.

We Offer High Quality

Custom Framing

We use the highest quality wood in our modern shop to create custom frames, frame your print with precision-cut acid-free mat board, and mount it behind a UV-blocking semi-gloss plexiglass to protect your art from the sun, dust, pollution, heat, and humidity. Then we add finishing touches like a wall hanging mount, wall friendly bumpers and a protective backing.
