About
This work, Frieda (Frida) and Diego Rivera, was created by Kahlo as a wedding present for the two of them when Diego Rivera and Kahlo were married. Unfortunately, it was only finished after they were married. Kahlo portrays the two of them, Diego Rivera slightly larger in size and taller than her as to represent male dominance, holding hands. In the upper right-hand corner, there is a dove carrying a ribbon-like banner with wording on it. This was something that both Kahlo and Rivera had picked up from a fellow artist.
