About
Qual la descanonan! (How they pluck her!) is one of the eighty prints in Goya’s 1799 ‘Los Caprichos’ series of aquatint etchings which aimed to condemn the society in which he lived. Qual la descanonan! (How they pluck her!) is the 21st one in the series, as evident by the written number in the top right. Goya depicts three male figures with lion-esque faces, feasting on the body of a chicken with a pained woman’s face.
