About
This lithograph, created for the famous firm Currier & Ives, is one of Frances (Fanny) Flora Bond Plamer’s most recognizable images. The Hudson River Valley is visible in the background, boats sailing, mountains rising in the distance, and a single house tucked amongst the trees. A delicate hummingbird floats by a trumpet vine, growing along the balcony. There is a table set with berries, grapes, and other fruit surrounding a gold-trimmed vase overflowing with a stunning arrangement of roses, tulips, and other Springtime flowers.
