About
This portrait presents an intimate and personal rendering of a young Native American boy. Edward S. Curtis, who photographically documented Native Americans during the early twentieth century, presents this piercing portrait. Although the boy’s gaze falls outside of the picture space, his eyes certainly act as the focal point of the image.
