About
In this scene, two faceless women drive a blue convertible with their multicolor patterned dresses flying behind them in the wind. The name ‘Caddolac’ suggests a play on words, as the women are driving a Cadillac car and the artist Purdy is a member of the Caddo Nation. This colored pencil drawing is completed on a piece of antique ledger paper, which references the 19th century Plains Indian tradition of repurposing this type of paper for their art.
