About
Part of a set, this piece depicts life at 8:00 AM when one’s day is just beginning. The seated man adjusts his shoe and turns to the bathroom behind his where his companion washes in a tub. Another figure sleeps peacefully in the bed on the right edge of the composition. Demuth used a mix of watercolor and graphite to create this intimate piece.
