About
This drawing, named for the ancient support pillars popular in Grecian architecture which are carved into the shape of women, shows a crouching woman with her arms raised. This piece was likely a quickly done warm-up sketch, where the focus is moreso on quickly rendering the form, than on accuracy of measurements. The pert breast and smoothe, thin body imply that this drawing was based off of a young woman's idealized form.
