About

In this selected view, Chapman's genre painting details soft notes of color looking south to southwest at Queens Wharf. On the horizon, South Melbourne Town Hall can be seen as it's steeple stands erect from the rest of the landscape. Chapman's careful marks highlight the foreground's subject matter with brighter pops of color. She demonstrates the industrialization and progression during the turn of the twentieth century with the embankment location of Port Melbourn and St. Kilda railways by adding a firm mark of deep green and rising red smokestacks.
SKU: 20648
Creator: Alice Chapman

Custom Framing

We use the highest quality wood in our modern shop to create custom frames, frame your print with precision-cut acid-free matt board, and mount it behind a UV-blocking semi-gloss plexiglass to protect your art from the sun, dust, pollution, heat, and humidity. Then we add finishing touches like wall hanging mount, wall friendly bumpers and a protective backing.
