About
After moving to L’Abreuvoit at Marly, Sisley painted this picture of the surrounding town. The muted colors give off a shadowy atmosphere. The blues of the atmosphere, coupled with the light dashes of yellow and orange, creates a almost sleepy setting. The dashes and dots, alongside the blurry details of the painting, points to the Impressionistc style for which Sisley was recognized.
