Built over more than two centuries, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Libraries stands as one of the premier research libraries in North America.
The Wilson Special Collections Library is home to treasured collections of rare and unique books, archives and manuscripts, prints, photographs, sound recordings and moving images. The building houses five special collections: the North Carolina Collection, the Rare Book Collection, the Southern Folklife Collection, the Southern Historical Collection, and University Archives and Records Management Services. These collections are open to all and document the history and culture of the University, North Carolina, the South, the United States, and the world. Throughout the year, the collections in the Wilson Library offer public events and exhibitions that highlight their renowned collections
