Queensland Art Gallery
The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art is Queensland’s premier visual arts institution, driven by the aim of connecting art and people. Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) presents the historical and early modern Australian, Asian and international collections, and the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) focuses on the art of the late 20th and 21st centuries.
The Gallery’s flagship exhibition, the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT), the only ongoing series in the world to focus on contemporary art from Asia, the Pacific and Australia, celebrates its 20th anniversary from December 2012 to April 2012.
The Gallery’s lively exhibition program also includes exhibitions in partnership with leading international institutions.
For film buffs, the Gallery’s Australian Cinémathèque presents films by influential and popular filmmakers and artists, and the highly acclaimed Children’s Art Centre presents engaging and interactive exhibitions and events for visitors of all ages.
