Vanessa Bell

05/30/1879 - 04/07/1961

Vanessa Bell, the older sister of famed author Virginia Wolf, was a central figure in the Bloomsbury Group, a group of artists, writers, and intellectuals in mid-20th Century London. In her mid-career, Bell turned toward abstraction and remains today as an important figure in modern painting.
