Samuel Henry Baker (1824-1909) was a 19th-century British landscape painter. Baker was born and spent his youth in Birmingham, England. He got his artistic training at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, and the Birmingham School of Design. He also trained under the artist, Joseph Paul Pettitt. He mainly painted landscapes and was also a watercolorist. Baker adopted a style derived from the Birmingham School of concise outlines and cross-hatching. He died in 1909.
