Judy Chicago is an American artist as well as an author and educator. She has had an incredibly active career for five decades, pioneering the Feminist art movement in the 1970s. Her most famous work is a multimedia installation titled The Dinner Party, which includes place settings around a large table for 39 important women in history and the names of 999 others. Her other works range from paintings to tapestries to sculptures, many of which are executed with vivid colors. Her work is displayed in the permanent collections of many museums around the world.
