Helen Franklenthaler was an American abstract expressionist artist whose work spanned over six decades, continuously evolving and influencing the artistic landscape. Born in New York City, Frankenthaler developed a love for painting at a young age. She famously studied alongside legendary artists such as Hans Hofmann and Paul Feeley. She worked with a variety of mediums throughout her career, experimenting with printmaking, tapestry, and sculpture. She was passionate about breaking the pre-set \”rules\” of the art world and expanding her skills constantly. Her work has been featured in numerous important exhibitions, some most famously taking place at museums like The Museum of Modern Art, New York and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
