Czech painter and graphic artist, František Kupka, was known for his involvement in the Orphism movement and his contribution to the development of abstract art as a whole. In his early career, Kupka painted in a primarily realistic style, but ultimately shifted toward abstraction as his fascination with color and the creative process grew. His paintings are now cherished at legendary museums, such as The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
