Andrew Newell Wyeth was an American artist known for his realism and regional style. His family is known for their artistic legacy. His father, N. C. Wyeth, was a well-known artist and illustrator, and his son, Jamie, is a well-known artist. Andrew’s daughter, Henriette, was a painter and married Peter Hurd, also a painter.
Wyeth’s work, Christina’s World (1948), in the Museum of Modern Art’s collection, is considered one of the best-known works of the 20th century.
