Anders Andersen-Lundby was born December 16th, 1841 in Lundby, Denmark. In 1861, when he was twenty, Anders traveled to Copenhagen where he exhibited his works for the first time. He married Thora Adelheid Børgesen (1842-1911) in 1865. By 1870, he had gained his winter landscapes that were renowned with audiences in both Denmark and southern Germany. In 1876, he moved to Munich with his family. His paintings continued to celebrate wintry landscapes. He was able to continue exhibiting his works, likeA Winter Landscape with Horses and Carts by a River, and A Wooded Winter Landscape, in munich. He died in Munich in 1923.
