This riveting and bold image is a blanket design of the Haida Indians in Alaska. In order to celebrate the city's two newly built bridges, San Francisco held a World's Fair in 1939-1940. The Fair featured expositions from the United States and abroad, and included an "Indian Court" to exhibit the art of Native Americans. The bright red and stark black create an eye-catching advertisement.
