This is a poster with the portrait of Anthony Burns and his life as a slave. Anthony Burns was being charged in Boston under the Fugitive Slave Act, for running from Virginia. The people of Boston were outraged by the ruling and led demonstrations and protests. Eventually some Bostonians bought his freedom, Burns went to Oberlin College and moved to Canada to be a preacher.
