PROGRAM DETAILS FOR MUSEUMS |
Art nurtures the soul. But there’s nothing wrong with it also nurturing the institutions that give it a home. That’s where we come in. 1000Museums.com is the worldwide destination website featuring museum content. We help transform your permanent collections into a revenue stream. Online and onsite. With a complete turnkey program requiring very little time and next to no effort.
Here’s how it works. Onsite, people can access everything they’ve just seen in your museum from one of our simple touch-screen kiosks, or they can choose from a select inventory in the store. The kiosk allows a customer to order a custom archival print embossed with your museum’s logo, or add a mat and frame and have it delivered to their home.
Online, people can browse your entire collection from your website and ours. So anybody in the market for art can wander the e-galleries and shop to their heart’s content. Then order instantly. Even the artwork you own that isn’t currently on display. Which means more ways to make your artwork work for you. And we take care of all the printing, matting, framing and shipping.
We’re basically the thinking person’s no-brainer. An easy way to increase museum revenues at a time when every penny counts. For more information call 425-679-6099. Or drop us a line at info@1000museums.com.
Archival Prints
Our core and most popular product type is our premium quality archival print. These items are sourced from master images supplied by the museum, so color is perfectly balanced, and image quality superb. These digital reproductions are published on 300gsm archival cotton rag paper, and printed using the highest quality inksets and large format printers available. What really sets these items apart is the fact that every unframed/unmatted paper print is hand embossed with the partner museum logo. This finishing touch makes this custom product unlike anything currently available in the art marketplace.
Matted Archival Prints
This product type is perfect for the buyer that wants a beautifully finished product but would rather simply purchase a ready-made frame from another source. These are digital reproductions published on 300gsm archival cotton rag paper and matted using a beautiful 8 ply matboard.
Framed Archival Prints
We also offer all matted and unmatted items framed in several different moulding profiles. All framed items are hand-crafted and delivered ready to hang.
MiniPrint Program
Through this program we offer all the images included in the collection to be made available as high quality notecards/postcards. Through our streamlined production process we can re-stock your store weekly with these popular items. Gone are the days of having to pre-purchase thousands of postcards, only to see them sit in boxes waiting to be sold. MiniPrints are available in 4 x 6'', 5 x 7'' and 8 x 10''.
Books-On-Demand
In Development. This program will allow all images within our print program to be used in the custom creation of yoru own art book. These can be created for custom inventory for the museum store or simply as a custom product for your visitors to create for themselves.
1000Museums will support and advise all partners on regards to in-store merchandising as well as providing marketing concepts, templates, and signage to promote in-store sale of the products within the program. Our on-demand distribution model will also allow the museum store to effectively manage its inventory through quick response on re-supply orders and no order minimums.

1000Museums also offers an in-store kiosk option. This innovative solution provides the museum with an additional sales channel. It allows in-store visitors to view and shop through the entire archival print collection for the museum, not just the items carried for sale within the store.

Once a museum has joined the 1000Museums program we begin a well defined set-up process. Through your "museum login", you will be able to review the set-up process and see where you are at and view all outstanding items that need to be completed.
Image selection and processing is the first step that will get a new collection on its way to launching within the program. From approving embossed die designs to proofing image sets, this set-up process generally takes 2-4 weeks to complete and then you are ready to process your first order!
