American Museum of Natural History, Mountain gorilla (Gorilla gorilla beringei) in the Akeley Hall of African Mammals
The Archival Print Collection is an exclusive offering of artwork presented in a museum quality format. Many of these works have never been published as reproductions before, and through extensive color matching and proofing these reproductions are incredible representations of the original works. In addition, a portion of every purchase from 1000Museums goes to support the arts and our partner museums.
This program is powered by 1000Museums, the premier provider of archival reproductions of art work sourced from the greatest museums around the world. With years of experience in the publishing and imaging world, 1000Museums has the capability to produce these reproductions at a level that meets the museums demanding standards.

IMAGE SELECTION & PROCESSING |
The process of including a work of art into this collection begins with the selection of an image from the museums digital archive. Once this has been completed, our team of designers process and evaluate the image for quality and color correctness. After the images has been approved by the museum, the work is released and then shared with the world through this exclusive collection.
All of our archival prints are published on the latest generation large format printers. Using the highest quality inksets available, we are able to achieve a color gamut that is more extensive than has ever been available in digital reproductions. The color permanence rating for these prints is greater than 100 years.
We publish every item on an acid free 300gsm archival cotton rag paper. This beautiful substrate has a slight watercolor texture to it and has a bright white tone.
All of our matted items are produced using a gorgeous Bainbridge ArtCare 8-Ply Archival matboard.
All of our custom framed items are hand crafted in our production facility in Austin, Texas. Our team of master framers ensure all items meet the museums standards prior to shipping. All framed items are shipped ready to hang with hanging hardware attached. All you need is a hammer and a nail.
